WildWood is located two miles from downtown Eagle River where good shopping abounds. There are many fine restaurants and supper clubs in the area. Horseback riding, go-karting, golfing, miniature golf, and tubing or canoeing on the Wisconsin River are among the many activities available in the Eagle River area. The Northwoods Children’s Museum is a great place to take the kids for family fun, and the nearby Nicolet National Forest offers over 600 thousand acres where you can fish, bike, swim, or hike among 400-year old white pine trees.
WildWood features five two-bedroom housekeeping cottages, with spectacular views of Duck Lake. All the cottages feature modern kitchens, baths with showers, comfortable living rooms, and screened porches, Our guests enjoy convenient parking adjacent to their cottage door. Your rental includes a Weber grill, free campfire wood, shared pedal boat and canoe, and use of a 14-foot aluminum boat, or dockage for your boat.
WildWood offers anglers the opportunity to fish the 28 lakes that make-up the largest chain of freshwater lakes in the world. Duck Lake is rated “Class A” for the legendary muskie and the tasty walleye. Panfish, most notably perch, and small-mouth bass also inhabit our waters. Fishing persons appreciate WildWood’s fish cleaning shanty complete with running water and electricity.
WildWood offers three, four, and five day packages for those fortunate enough to take advantage of the early and late seasons. May visitors get a jump on fishing, and witness the North Woods as it comes to life. Fishing is best in September and October, and the fall colors are spectacular.
