Oakwood Lodge was Originally the largest guest house on the grounds of the famed Oakwood Resort, which was built by David Greenway in 1867, and was the first summer resort west of Niagara Falls. For more than one hundred years, Oakwood has welcomed guests to relax and enjoy themselves on the shores of one of Wisconsin's most beautiful lakes. We are proud to offer you hospitality within the fine Oakwood tradition.

The Oakwood Lodge is a gracious yet quaint hotel on a pleasant knoll overlooking the entire seven mile length of beautiful Green Lake. It graces the most picturesque point on the northeast edge of the lakeshore, and has one hundred and thirty-one feet of lakeshore frontage.

This expanse of frontage, along with our private pier and raft, allows lodge guests their choice of swimming, boating, fishing or relaxing in the sun.

The main level of the lodge includes a dining room for friendly gatherings or game playing, a family room with a television and VCR, and a fireplace for when there is a chill in the air.

A full breakfast is served to houseguests on an enclosed porch overlooking the lake. We feature homemade buttermilk pancakes, omelets, and coffee cake.

Our guests also enjoy this porch for conversation, rest, or observing the beautiful lake view. This view often includes a variety of ducks and birds, including loons and eagles, depending on the season.

The guest chambers are very spacious, old fashioned and comfortable. Right outside the rooms is a stately balcony where one may enjoy the first or last moments of the day.

Whether you favor the newness of spring, the warmth of summer, the radiance of fall or the serenity of winter, you will choose to visit historic Oakwood Lodge again and again.

Oakwood Lodge is within walking distance of Green Lake's shops, churches, library and historical society. Nearby are fine dining establishments, four superior golf courses (Tuscumbia, Lawsonia, Mascoutin and White Lake), two boat rental facilities, and in the winter, a trail for cross-country skiing.
