Carlson's Lakeview Cottages is located on the north shore of Lake Thompson. We offer 4 cottages and all are set up for light housekeeping. Each cottage is equipped with picnic table, covered BBQ grill, lawn chairs and a stable 14 ft. aluminum boat. The resort offers a gradual sloping sand beach, a swimming raft and a volley ball net in the water provide fun for the water lover. There is also swings, tether-ball and sandbox for children. Two docks are provided. A T-dock with benches in the swimming area and a 50 ft. straight dock for fishing and tying up boats. No fishing or boats allowed in swimming area.

Lake Thompson provides boating and water skiing as it is 411 aces in size and well marked in the shallow spots. Lake Thompson is noted for the mighty musky and walleye. Panfishing for perch, bluegills and or crappies offer enjoyable fishing for all ages. There are three islands for exploring.
Rhinelander offers a variety of attractions such as shopping malls, theaters, YMCA, challenging 18 hole golf course, logging museum, nearby casinos, night clubs, clinics and hospital, churches and more. Carlson's Lakeview Cottages is 3 1/2 miles east of Rhinelander on beautiful Lake Thompson. To reach the resort follow Highway Business 8 East from Rhinelander for 1/2 mile. Turn left on to East Highway C. Follow East Highway C for 3 1/2 miles to Lake Thompson Road. Turn right and follow signs to resort. Coordinates - N45° 38.149 W89° 19.898 |

Vacation periods begin and end on a Saturday during peak season.
Departure time is 9:00A.M. and arrival time is 3:00 P.M. It is advisable to make reservations early to be assured of availability. If a cancellation is necessary, the deposit will be returned when the vacancy is filled. Bed linens are furnished. Please bring your own kitchen and bath towels. Porta cribs and high chairs are available by advanced request. There is at least one fan in each cottage. Toilet tissue is also provided, but please bring your own dish and bath soaps. ONE DOG WITH PERMISSION IN SOME UNITS. No Tents or camping on resort
